HIRED!
The Hired! Apprenticeship program is one of three components to Venture Point, which is a formal MWR Partnership Program. The program is open to all youth in the Stuttgart Garrison Community ages 15-18. This program offers paid apprentice positions in 12 week terms and includes exploratory work experiences in a selected career path aligned with specific collegiate or vocational courses of study. Workforce preparation trainings and college exploration workshops are also offered through this program. All Hired! Apprentices will be placed in MWR Site locations. Upon completion of the term, Apprentices obtain a cash award and certificate from Kansas State University. For teens 17 to 18 years of age, the program also offers additional educational incentives through BGCA ClubService.
To participate in the HIRED! Apprenticeship program you must do the following:
- Complete and return the HIRED! Apprenticeship Application Packet, along with the CYS Services MST Registration Form.
- Return a copy of your last report card, along with proof of citizenship.
- Attend a total of (6) Workforce Preparation Trainings: (3) Workforce Preparatin Trainings, (2) Secondary Educaiton Trainings and (1) Financial Management Training.. Training dates/times are liste don the Workforce Preparation/HIRED! Training Registration Form.
