General Description
The Stuttgart Youth Center is designed specifically for middle school youth and teens to ensure that the physical, cognitive, social and emotional needs of youth are addressed, and predictable services provided. Youth Centers offer services in the following areas: sports, fitness & health options; life skills, citizenship & leadership opportunities; arts, recreation & leisure activities; academic support, mentoring, and intervention services.

Youth Sponsorship
The Patch HUB organizes a wonderful experience for new youth in the community to help in their transition.  The youth will:
Discover Stuttgart City Center.
Tour the Stuttgart Military Community.
Navigate German Public Transportation.
Learn German Language and Customs.
All participants must be enrolled in CYS Services and in grades 6-12.  .  For more information and permission slips visit the HUB (building 2337) or contact DSN: 430-6289 or CIV: 0711-680-6289.

-R U Ready for Life After High School? (A YESS program)
This program is for high school students.  The program provides students with useful tools, compiled in a portfolio, which assists in preparing for college, choosing a career, or applying for a job after high school.

-Workforce Preparation Workshops and HIRED! – A brand new program for youth in
grades 9 -12 enrolled in CYS Services.

The youth will participate in several workshops on a variety of topics such as Character Counts, Resume Writing/Interview Skills, Teamwork/Understanding Generational Gap, Value of Saving/Financial Management, Career Exploration, and College Quest. These trainings are prerequisites to participate in the HIRED! program where youth will work in different FMWR organizations on Stuttgart Garrisons for twelve week rotations. 4-H Babysitter’s Course
Teen Babysitting Training

4-H/CYS Services Teen Babysitter’s Training:
This is a 4 day course presented by the Family Child Care Office and 4-H for youth 13 years and older. The training includes developmentally appropriate play, recognition of child abuse/neglect, emergency procedures, interviewing, Certification in American Red Cross First Aid and CPR, and much more. Attendance and participation in all four days is required.

Other: Must be 13 or older and registered with CYS Services. Participation in all 4 days is required for certification (Red Cross First Aid & CPR). Sign up at Parent Central Services. Spaces are limited.
