General Description
Child Care:
CDCs offer full-day, part-day and hourly care for children ages six weeks through kindergarten. CDC programs provide rich and stimulating environments in which children develop motor, cognitive, social and emotional skills through a balance of exploration and planned curriculum. Learning activities are designed to support the natural development of children and include individual, small group and large group experiences.
Hours: 0600-1800 Monday – Friday and closed on all federal holidays.
Part Day Pre-School and Strong Beginnings:
This program is offered at all CDC facilities. This program provides a variety of activities to assist children with school readiness. Emphasis is placed on technology, the arts, physical development (including both gross motor and fine motor development), math, science, and literacy. It also offers children an opportunity to socialize with other children while building readiness skills for school. All Part Day Preschools and Strong Beginnings follow the DoDDS calendar.
Children are eligible to enroll in this program if they are ages 3-5 years old by the school cut-off date and potty trained. Sign ups for 2009-2010 school year begin July 11th.
The schedule and registration forms for both of these programs are found on the Central Enrollment Registration page.
-Hourly Care
Kelley, Panzer, and Patch CDCs offer hourly care. Contact the Center directly to inquire about availability and fees.
-Parent Advisory Council (PAC)
The CYS Services’ Parent Advisory Council welcomes all parents of children who are registered members of CYS Services to participate in the council. Parents and staff work together to evaluate and improve programs for the positive development of children ages six weeks to eighteen years. The PAC invites you to all meetings. Please check you’re your child’s Center to find out the dates and times of the monthly meetings.
