The goal of the Outreach Program is to develop informational fairs, groups, and other activities to reach service members and Family members who are currently receiving services for which they are eligible. The Outreach Services Program Coordinator uses a holistic approach to assessing the needs of ACS clients and makes referrals to other ACS programs and/or external agencies.
The ACS Outreach Services Program is also responsible for ensuring that surviving spouses residing in the Stuttgart, Germany, area receive all the benefits and services to which they are entitled, under the Survivor Outreach Services Program.
Design, coordination and facilitation of community special events such as the ACS Community Awareness Registration and Education (CARE) Fair, Military Spouse Appreciation Day, National Disability Week, Disability Mentor Day, National Military Appreciation Month, and the Annual Christmas Angel Tree event. These celebrations are a few of the many outreach services provided by this program. The Coordinator is the primary point of contact for most special ACS programs and events and serves as ACS's representative on a variety of US Army Garrison Stuttgart committees and councils.
