Army Volunteer Corps

The AVC serves as the commander's consultant on volunteer issues, heads the Volunteer Advisory Council, trains installation volunteer managers, develops a volunteer job bank, and recruits, interviews and refers volunteers to organizations and is responsible for the annual Volunteer Awards Ceremony. Volunteering helps the organization by expanding program capabilities. Volunteering benefits military members, civilians, retirees, spouses and youth to:

  • Gain a sense of satisfaction / achievement by meeting challenges
  • Learn about the Army, its sistere services, and the community
  • Acquire new skills and or expanding old ones
  • Obtain work experience
  • Build new friendship and become a cohesive part of the community

Volunteer Management Information System Training (VMIS)

You must be registered with VMIS to become an official USAG Stuttgart volunteer! Sign up by going to www.myarmylifetoo.com and complete the registration process. Be sure to select the location for which you volunteer or would like to volunteer. You will have the ability to track your own hours.
